Occupation: Professional School Counselor
What inspires you to be a Woman of Hope?: My personal vision is to KOURAGEOUSLY (yes, with a K) empower others to be their authentic selves. Sometimes, we become so consumed with others' perceptions of who we are supposed to be, but in actuality only we can discover and define that. We all need reminders that we literally have NOTHING TO PROVE! A special part of that is showing up for ourselves everyday and remembering GRACE.
What ways are you involved in the community?: I host Prayer in the Park every first Saturday of the Month during the summer months.
I'm a YoungLife Leader at John Tyler High School
I'm a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.- Kilgore Alumnae Chapter
I've participated in the Thrive Internship Program with For the Silent as a mentor
What is a fun fact about you? : I discovered that my favorite scripture and birthday have the same letters and numbers.
Joshua 1:9 Be Strong and Courageous (my birthday is January 9)
Now I'm just trying to live up to that!
