Family Member's Names: Trey - Husband
Carter - Son
Occupation: Personal Trainer / Assistant Youth Director
What inspires you to be a Woman of Hope?: Even though I have a background in psychology, I feel that my own purpose and passion is mostly driven from my own personal trials with an eating disorder early in life. Through this struggle I have developed a sense of openness in sharing my testimony, and I believe it has deepened my ability to understand and relate to the pain that is experienced in overcoming obstacles. Being a Woman of Hope means that I can play a small part in offering HOPE to people - women who need help in gaining HOPE in their lives again. So many people were involved in my healing process, so many helped me HOPE again. I am excited to aid in the process of giving HOPE back.
What ways are you involved in the community?: As owner and head trainer for East Texas Adventure Boot Camp for over ten years, I have been able to meet and work with so many people throughout our community (many of whom are members of Women of Hope). It has been an honor to represent Health and Fitness in Tyler, but it has been even more rewarding to help people enjoy taking care of themselves! I feel as though I have had a front row seat in so many life-changing transformations, which makes me a very lucky (and positive) person! Also, this past year I have broadened my responsibilities by beginning new work as an Assistant Youth Director at Christ Episcopal Church, Tyler, and I have quite enjoyed sharing and learning about discipleship with the youth of our community!
What is a fun fact about you? : When I am not busy working up a sweat with friends and/or sharing about discipleship with youth aged students, I enjoy seeing the world through the eyes of my three-year-old son, Carter, and I also cherish being a wife to my extremely loyal and incredible husband, Trey. If I were to sum up what I would want to be most known for, it would be to lead a ministry of compassion. No matter where life takes me, I want to be available for the people around me and I want to be used in a way that only God can use me.
