What inspires you to be a Woman of Hope?: As a mother of two daughters, I pray they grow to have a high degree of self worth, know her value, and have the courage to lift her voice and be heard when necessary. It is my privilege as a teacher, to help children understand their infinite worth and to teach them how to stand up for themselves and others. These skills are essential for living a healthy, fulfilling life. When I learned that Texas is a huge transit sight for both international and domestic trafficking, and that Tyler is located along one of the major routes, I knew I needed to help shed light on what is happening here in our hometown. It is my prayer that we can work together to empower victims and survivors with the skills they need to adjust back to a normal life.
What ways are you involved in the community?: I teach first grade at The Brook Hill Lower School and volunteer in the nursery at Bethel Bible South.
What is a fun fact about you? : I can kazoo in tune, yet I cannot sing in tune! BUT I love to sing!
