Family Member's Names: Husband - Rodney (Married for 28 years)

What inspires you to be a Woman of Hope?: I feel that every child needs a voice and an advocate and typically that is a parent but, when that parent is not around someone has to stand up for that child. For the Silent impresses me in the education and mentorship that they supply for at risk girls and girls in sex trafficking situations. For the Silent is essentially their voice.
What ways are you involved in the community?: I have been a member of Junior League of Tyler
I served on PTA/PTO Boards at my girls schools every year they were in school
I have served on many, many committees at church
I organize and run a Fall Festival and Easter Egg Hunt each year
What is a fun fact about you? : I was held hostage in a bank robbery in 1987 (not so fun) but I talked to the robber (who had his face covered) so much (like, I had diarrhea of the mouth!) that he kept telling me to hush over and over and after the robbery was over and they escaped I later was able to identify his voice in a line up that led to him being convicted.
I love to bargain shop and work in the yard (those are not so fun facts about me!)
